The table was ceremonially handed over to the municipality on 6 September in the presence of the mayor of Lilian Bronďošová and members of ŠK GP. Mrs. Mayor made the first ceremonial move on the chessboard with the help of young chess players from our club.

I believe that the chess table will attract other people interested in this game and will contribute to the development of chess in our village as well as in the Gemer region, which is one of the goals of our chess club.

The table is located in a nice park environment and can be seen from the windows of the elementary school. I believe that the pupils will notice the table and be interested in chess. However, even if it were not for chess, sitting in the park at the table, expanded the recreational opportunities that the park offers.

I wish you a pleasant sitting in the park at the new chess table.
